Billing Frequencies
Monthly
Setting the Billing Frequency to Monthly includes the Matter in any prebill selection by Frequency for any period in in the accounting year.
Quarterly
Setting the Billing Frequency to Quarterly includes the Matter in any prebill selection by Frequency for the period as defined based on the beginning month as defined below. For example:

Semi-Annually

Annually
Setting the Billing Frequency to Annually includes the Matter in any prebill selection by Frequency for the period as defined based on the beginning month as defined below. For example:

On Cycle
Setting the Billing Frequency to Annually disables the beginning month selection and enable the On Cycle option. On Cycle allows a firm to define their own specific billing cycles as needed (1-999 cycles may be defined).
Example:
If the firm wants to bill clients monthly, but prefers to select a certain set of bills during week 1, week 2 week 3 and week 4 of the month, they may set up all matters to be assigned a Cycle of 1-4. At billing time, they would perform a prebill selection by Cycle and would enter the appropriate Cycle at billing time.
Cycles can also be used as a sort of VIP billing run.
Example:
The insurance clients that bill electronically tend to be dependable on payments, but are typically slow to pay. The firm may set them to a cycle (cycle 99). Before their traditional bill run, run cycle 99 and get those bills finished, uploaded and posted ASAP to expedite the payment. Then proceed with the remaining monthly prebills by a traditional frequency selection.
On Request
The On Request option is limited to matters assigned to either a Flat Fee or Contingency Billing Frequency. This setting excludes these matters from traditional prebill selection by Frequency or Cycle. These matters could only be included in an on-demand prebill selection such as selection by Billing Timekeeper, Client All Matters, Consolidation Name or Matter, or Client Range.
